The Cionic Sleeve is worn on the legs to measure how muscles behave and how the body moves. This Sleeve communicates to a cell phone or tablet using Bluetooth technology and is capable of stimulating muscle contractions (manually or algorithmically) that may enhance exercises and walking1
The purpose of this study is to gather information about how kids’ bodies move in order to develop new wearable tech-enabled clothing to help children with impacted mobility of the lower extremities.
In order to qualify, your child must:
Your child and one adult will visit our Bay Area research site (future sites coming soon), and we will secure wearable units for your child’s legs and/or feet. We may ask your child to sit, stand, walk for 2-minute increments on a treadmill, walk 10 meters across the room, or perform some simple stationary exercises like seated toe or calf raises.
The entire process will take between 1-2 hours and your child will be compensated for their participation.
Your safety is our primary concern and we have implemented a safety and sterilization protocol in response to COVID-19. This includes:
1Caution - Investigational device. Limited by Federal (or the United States) law to investigational use.
