We are a small, yet diverse team, supercharged by our mission to superpower the human body. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Engagement and Advocacy Manager to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in fostering vibrant and supportive communities around our products and initiatives, both within CIONIC, as well as externally. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in building and nurturing online and offline communities, driving advocacy efforts and partnerships, and managing community ambassador programs.
The ideal candidate is:
- Savvy on social media, with experience growing and nurturing communities for consumer brands and/or platforms.
- A strong communicator, both online/written and in-person. Knowledgeable about messaging and engagement, and a strong public speaker.
- Genuine and deeply empathetic, capable of establishing trust quickly and making strong connections.
- Deeply knowledgeable about content. Thrives when developing content strategy across a digital ecosystem (social channels, podcast, blog, email, etc.), but equally engaged (and capable) when rolling up their sleeves and creating the necessary assets.
- An organized and analytical self-starter - someone who identifies opportunities and takes the initiative to capture them. Someone who is driven by curiosity and likes to learn and optimize.
- Flexible in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment. They are a quick learner eager to grow with the team and take on new challenges.
This is a remote position, with occasional business travel (up to 15%) for company and consumer events. The ideal candidate is a college graduate who has educational or professional background in marketing and/or communications. A personal and/or professional connection to our community and mission is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate CIONIC online communities - identify and develop relevant content, manage community discussions, identify and cultivate relationships with potential community advocates, and respond to our community. Proactively identify new online communities relevant to CIONIC and establish relationships. Connect with prospective customers to answer questions and assist with consideration.
- Build strong relationships with external advocacy groups, associations, support groups, clinical specialists, and providers.
- Identify, reach out to, and meet with relevant KOIs within the MS, stroke, and cerebral palsy space to establish relationships and build brand awareness.
- Ideate and host community events (webinars, AMAs, walks, etc.)
- Act as a key contributor to content strategy & production - able to conceptualize and create content independently, as well as manage agencies as appropriate. Work with customers to create a pipeline of testimonial content.
- Attend and manage in-person demos/events as needed.
- Manage customer ambassador program - determine program structure, coordinate ambassador training, lead program recruiting, and manage all program staffing.
- Contribute to marketing materials/content on an ongoing basis.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis in business, marketing, or related field.
- Community/social management experience, including content creation.
- Empathetic, proactive, and customer-service oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance
- Excellent organizational and communications skills (written and verbal)
- Exceptional ability to juggle multiple tasks, drive projects to completion, gain buy-in from stakeholders, and prioritize work to deliver to goals.
