Electrode Gel Pads

While using the Cionic Neural Sleeve, it is important to properly care for your hydrogel electrode pads in order to extend their use and protect your skin.

Before putting on your sleeve, ensure that your skin is clean and free of any open wounds. If you do have open skin on an area where an electrode is placed, you should not use the sleeve until it is healed.

I'm having trouble with my Gel Electrodes

My skin is getting irritated under the gel electrodes.
If skin irritation occurs, please discontinue use and contact us.
The gel electrodes are leaving residue on my skin.
Watch videos on unboxing, electrodes, donning, onboarding, the CIONIC app, and more.
My gel electrodes won't stay on.
Please clean your skin of any sweat, lotions or oils and remove any excess hair with a trimmer or scissors as shaving right before use can irritate your skin.
Helpful Tips
Tip 01 /
Shave and moisturize in the evening after you have taken the Cionic Neural Sleeve off for the day. Shaving can create micro-cuts in the skin that may be irritated by the gel electrode pads and stimulation. Shaving the evening before helps to prevent irritation. Avoid putting anything on the skin prior to use as this can decrease the adhesiveness of the gel electrode pads and negatively impact their longevity.

Before putting on your sleeve, ensure that your skin is clean and free of any open wounds. If you do have open skin on an area where an electrode is placed, you should not use the sleeve until it is healed. If at any time you experience irritation caused by the gel electrode pads and/or stimulation, discontinue use and reach out to us at support@cionic.com.
Tip 02 /
When removing the sleeve, immediately replace the provided cover back over the gel electrodes. This step will protect the surfaces of the pads from trapping debris and losing their adhesive qualities.
Tip 03 /
If you are not due for a replacement set and your gel electrode pads are losing their stickiness, put a small drop of water on the surface of the pad that makes contact with your skin and rub it around to gently clean the gel.
Tip 04 /
Keep a damp (or dry) cloth nearby when removing the sleeve to wipe any gel pad residue off of your skin.
